The Marl Chemical Park is one of the largest chemical industry locations in Germany and Europe. It is operated by Evonik, one of the world's leading specialty chemicals companies, and is also Evonik’s largest production site.

In addition to Evonik, its subsidiaries and holdings, 17 other national and international companies are located in the chemical park.

The site covers an area of more than six square kilometers - with modern infrastructure typical of the chemical industry. The approximately 100 production facilities all are closely integrated into the material supply system and energy network.
