- Farewell ceremony for trainees from Marl, Herne and Witten at Marl Chemical Park
- 107 young people passed their exams after completing regular or shortened training programmes
- 86 years of training expertise at Marl Chemical Park
At the Marl Chemical Park, 107 trainees have successfully passed their final examinations. The graduates were trained at the Marl, Herne and Witten sites and achieved a pass rate of 100 per cent. Since the beginning of the year, SYNEQT GmbH, as the operator of the chemical park, has been providing training for Evonik and nine other companies at the site, offering 13 vocational profiles and five dual study programmes.
This year, the chemical technician profession once again accounted for the largest share with 60 successful graduates. The graduates also included 13 plant mechanics, 14 chemical laboratory assistants, 7 electronics technicians for automation technology, two electronics technicians for automation technology with a degree, six industrial clerks, two office management clerks, two clerks for freight forwarding and logistics services, and one service employee for protection and security. With their successful graduation, all graduates are now starting their professional lives as qualified specialists.
The graduation ceremony also provided an opportunity to look back on more than eight decades of training at the site. Over the course of 86 years, a total of 17,890 young people have completed their vocational training. Of these, 8,384 qualifications were in scientific professions, 5,890 in technical professions and 3,616 in commercial professions. In addition, around 1,200 participants have obtained an IHK qualification through special admission to further training courses.
The average pass rate of around 98 per cent is a sign of the high quality of training at the chemical park.
With the takeover of operational responsibility for the Marl Chemical Park, SYNEQT took over significant parts of the training on behalf of Evonik at the beginning of the year. The company is continuing the site's long-standing training tradition and developing it further in cooperation with its partner companies.
There are currently still places available for the start of training in autumn 2026 (m/f/d): Applicants are still being sought for the following professions: electronics technician for automation technology, plant mechanic, chemical technician, chemical laboratory assistant and industrial clerk.
